Artfarm sets new boundaries for what cultural development can achieve, bringing together art, community, education, people and place. Public programmes are created to engage guests with art and locality. The local community is embraced and promoted through a celebration of the culture, customs, food and drink that make each site original.

We believe that everything is connected and strive to do our best to protect our resources, community and environment.

Goals

Our ultimate goal is to help mitigate the effects of climate change and actively manage schemes that will offset Artfarm’s environmental impacts. We are in a process of calculating our emissions and understanding our full impact on the planet (beyond simple carbon emissions), including waste, transport, social & community impacts. We are looking to establish a baseline to measure success moving forwards. We have been proud members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association since 2021 and are proud to be part of the Zero Carbon Forum.

Our initiatives

We aim to have sustainability in its many forms at the forefront of everything we do.

Working with our neighbours and local communities to promote sustainable practices we consider everything from the ingredients on your plate to the energy sources we choose,  the materials we use in our buildings to the produce sold in our shops.

Our objective is, as far as within our power, to only work with suppliers and contractors who subscribe to and operate on similar principles.
